6th form students from Dene Magna are supporting EYFS children during PE lessons this term. The children are really benefitting to some coaching from the 6th form students which is also enabling the students to develop their own coaching skills.
Well done to our girl's football team who took part in the GPJ area tournament last night. The girls won their group and have now progressed to the district final.
We were very pleased to host a visit from Matt Davies, local author, today. Matt shared his book, Inspector Earwig and the Garden Thief. The children loved listening to Matt's reading of the book.
Gloucestershire cricket have been running cricket workshops for the children to introduce them to some basic cricket skills.
We have been celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year today. The children have taken part in a range of activities linked to the New Year.
Well done to our cross country team who took part in the individual event last night. They ran so well and we are so proud of them all. Well done to Diana, Alan, Olly and Esme who all qualified for the country finals!

What a wonderful nativity our children performed today. They were amazing!
The children had a wonderful time watching Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood at the Savoy Theatre in Monmouth this week.
Our children were served a fabulous Christmas dinner by staff this year. Over the two days and 4 separate sittings, the school served up nearly 400 lunches. Thank you to everyone that made the lunches a success and to our catering staff for providing such an excellent meal.
Our children loved choosing their free book from the Books for Bugs book fayre yesterday. The school purchased a book for every child to take home.
