The children had a wonderful time watching Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood at the Savoy Theatre in Monmouth this week.
Our children were served a fabulous Christmas dinner by staff this year. Over the two days and 4 separate sittings, the school served up nearly 400 lunches. Thank you to everyone that made the lunches a success and to our catering staff for providing such an excellent meal.
Our children loved choosing their free book from the Books for Bugs book fayre yesterday. The school purchased a book for every child to take home.
Children from EYFS attended a Christingle service at St. Stephen's church yesterday. It was a lovely service for the children. Thank you to St. Stephen's church for hosting the service and to all the parents that supported the event.

Well done to our year 5/6 football team who took part in the ESFA county finals last night. The children played against some very tough teams, drawing two and losing 3 games. However, they never gave up and showed great spirit.
What an incredible treat for our children! Our children were visited by Travelling by Tuba who put on an amazing musical performance for them. The children were amazed and inspired by the skills of the visiting musicians. A huge thank you to Wye Valley music for funding today's visit.
Today we celebrated Romania's national day with our Romanian community. Many of our children came to school in traditional dress and they taught the other children about their culture and some Romanian phrases. We were also joined by students from Forest High school who shared information about Romania with our year 5 and 6 children.
Thank you to Eagles class for decorating our entry into this year's Christmas tress festival which is being held at St. Stephen's church.
