VE Day 80

Pupils at Forest View Primary school took part in a day of commemorative activities this week to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, celebrating the end of World War II in Europe.

The school was filled with a vibrant, party-like atmosphere as children engaged in a range of themed activities designed to both educate and entertain. Highlights of the day included traditional picnics, attending a proclamation, dancing, and listening to popular songs from the 1940s. Pupils also took part in special lessons exploring the historical significance of VE Day and attended a live assembly that brought the whole school together in reflection and celebration.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to learn about this pivotal moment in history in an engaging and memorable way.
