Our y3/4 children have been taking part in a Times Tables Rockstars competition. Well done to Alby, our winner and Noah and Oliver, our second and third place finishers. Also congratulations to Falcons class who were the overall class winners.
Well done to our girls football team who took part in the Prostars Forest High tournament today. The girls played exceptionally well and were narrowly beaten in their semi-final against Berryhill School
Great effort by our Cross Country runners who took part in the district event this evening. Our boys and girls teams both ran brilliantly, putting in maximum effort and showing great resilience. Well done everyone!
A huge well done to our y5/6 football team who took part in their first tournament of the year today. Taking part in the tournament held at Five Acres High School, the team were unbeaten in the group stage winning 3 games and drawing 1. They were then knocked out in the semi-finals after losing to Coalway Juniors.
Our year 5 and 6 pupils have been taking part in a class country competition this week. Winning this week's competition was Kestrels class. Our next KS2 inter-class competition will be SportsHall Athletics. Well done Kestrels class!
Children from Kites and Hawks classes had some wonderful trips to the Dean Heritage Museum this week. The children have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons in school and the trip was an opportunity for children to take part in a range of workshops linked to this.
All KS2 classes will be visiting the centre between now and October half term.

We are pleased to have been recognised by TiC+ by becoming one of their 30th Anniversary Stars.
Our Year 5/6s took part in their first fixture of the year, playing St. Whites in a very competitive fixture. The teams were very evenly matched with both teams rotating squads to assess children in different positions. St. White's won the fixture 3-1.
To the class of 2024, thank you for everything you have done at the school. You have typified what the school stands for, leaving us prepared for your next steps and for the challenges that you will face. Keep showing kindness and resilience and we know that you all have bright futures ahead of you. Remember to come back and keep continuing to inmprove this great town that you all live in. We look forward to hearing all about how well you are all doing.
