Well done to our year 5/6 football team who took part in the ESFA county finals last night. The children played against some very tough teams, drawing two and losing 3 games. However, they never gave up and showed great spirit.

What an incredible treat for our children! Our children were visited by Travelling by Tuba who put on an amazing musical performance for them. The children were amazed and inspired by the skills of the visiting musicians. A huge thank you to Wye Valley music for funding today's visit.
Today we celebrated Romania's national day with our Romanian community. Many of our children came to school in traditional dress and they taught the other children about their culture and some Romanian phrases. We were also joined by students from Forest High school who shared information about Romania with our year 5 and 6 children.
Thank you to Eagles class for decorating our entry into this year's Christmas tress festival which is being held at St. Stephen's church.
On the 20th November we were visited by a group of Japanese exchange students who were visiting the country through the Dene Magna. The students enjoyed a tour of the school and spent some time in years 5 and 6. We then held a joint assembly where our junior children sang songs and they taught the children about life in Okinawa.
On Friday, our choir sang a number of festive songs at St. Stephen's church as part of their Christmas Tree Festival. The children were amazing! Well done to Miss Wilkins and the entire choir.
On Friday our SportsHall athletics team took part in the district large schools event. The children performed exceptionally well across all of the disciplines, finishing in third place overall. Well done everyone!
A huge thank you to everyone that donated to Children in Need this week. We raised a huge £791.97 which is just incredible. You are all amazing!
Wow, we had an amazing 57 shoeboxes donated for Teams4U. Thank you to everyone that donated items and shoeboxes. You will be bringing lots of smiles to faces this Christmas time.
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust invited our UKS2 Eco-councillors to discover more about the Miners Welfare Wetlands Project.
The area has been landscaped to help reduce flooding and allow rainfall to be absorbed.
The children planted trees and shrubs, alongside wetlands flowers to improve the habitat for wildlife.
Well done to our y5/6 football team who become district ESFA champions last night. The children will now go on to compete in the county round against the best teams in the county.
