School Meals
Forest View works runs its own catering service to ensure that all the money that families pay for school meals go directly back into the kitchen to improve the quality of the meals on offer. All children in Reception and KS1 will be eligible for a free school meal every day of the week and the school receive funding from the government to pay for these. Any children who are not eligible for free school meals will be charged £2.50 per day. To see if your child is eligible for free school meals please contact the school office.
Our school kitchen (Treetops) provides at least two hot meal choices per day (one of which will be vegetarian), a jacket potato or choice from the salad bar and a cold (sandwhich) option. In addition to this there is a well stocked fresh salad bar, fresh bread daily and a range of desserts. Desserts will always include yoghurt and fresh fruit as well as other hot and cold options.
The latest school menu can be found below.
The school also runs a breakfast club each day. Doors open at 8.05am. From September 2023 this will cost £2.50 per day and includes hot/cold drinks and a selection of bakery items such as toast, crumpets, pancakes etc. The children also usually complete a group activity/games before going to class. Breakfast club is free for children who are eligible for benefits led free school meals (pupil premium).
Online payment for school meals and bookings for breakfast club (including those that are eligible for free places) are made with ParentMail. Please see school office for further information and to obtain your login details.
